ASICS is breaking new ground as the first sports brand to sign a dog as an official ambassador—celebrating our canine companions as the ultimate motivators to move for both body and mind.
Meet Felix the Samoyed, the internet’s favorite furry influencer and ASICS’ latest brand ambassador. Felix embodies the powerful role dogs play in inspiring millions to get active. According to new global research, 65% of dog owners say their dog is their primary motivation to move—surpassing family, celebrities, and personal trainers.
The study also reveals that dog owners are 31% more likely to meet recommended physical activity guidelines and boast mental wellbeing scores 18% higher than non-dog owners. Moving with a dog reduces stress and boosts happiness, with 79% of owners feeling less stressed and 83% happier after time spent outdoors with their pets.
Professor Brendon Stubbs of King’s College London highlights, “Dogs significantly influence our physical activity and mood. The research shows 84% of dog owners feel a mood boost after moving with their dog.”
